A very comprehensive and detailed app. Comes preloaded with suggestions and popular destinations in case youre unsure about the spelling of a particular place. It will also tell you the direction of the metro lines you need to take when changing, and you can take a closer look to see a diagram of each stop you will pass along the way. Should be very handy for tourists.

I have been traveling the world for 8 months, and visited over 40 cities now this app has saved me so many hours of my life. If you are going to visit any major city this app has save yourself some time and frustration. Just download it. ITS FREE

It really has helped me on my traveling. If u are not prepared at all, this app combined with other city specific metro map apps is a great last minute tool to figure out where you are going and how you can get there. But i needed another supporting visual map to help me further underStand the routes.

This program was incredibly helpful on our trip to Paris. The metro directions were excellent, available offline and free. Since I dont have access to my gps or data plan while traveling outside Canada this program was a saviour.

Ive read great reviews, but when I tried to use it in Calgary, ab, canada it was useless

I have no idea why so many people are down on this app. We are using it in Berlin, and it’s superior to others. Metro uses the entire Berlin transit system, while many use only the subway and S-Bahn system. Not having the bus and tram system included makes these other apps not nearly as useful. Cheers for Metro!

I have been using MetrO for years on various devices and OSs. I have used it in Vancouver, Toronto, Madrid, London. This app rocks and the Devs have been really generous making it available for so many platforms and in the content. Youd have to mash an number of apps together to get the utility of this app and ITS FREE! Thank You metro.nanika

Doesnt actually give any timing information. No idea when trains and buses leave, what time I need to leave, or when Im going to arrive. No useful information at all, and the user interface is terrible. Cant imagine why this app has so many positive reviews.

Used this in Paris, London, Rome, Moscow, Kiev, Prague, Frankfurt, Berlin and Toronto. Worked flawlessly in all the cities above, gives you only the information you need and does so quickly. Only thing I would ask for is iPhone 5 support.

A definite must have for any world traveller as it allows for offline access to city transport databases for anywhere!

Instead of address write Pierrefonds (I live there and it is not an address it is a pretty big neighborhood) to Peel, Sherbrooke (it means intersection) it say right - use train, but then it say use 2 buses - there just 10 minutes walk. Should be improved. As it is free - 3 stars. Maybe for other cities it is more useful than this, but for mine it is useless.

A great transit app for the frequent traveler who needs an offline resource.

I used to have this great app on my Palm. It is definitely the best public transportation bible of the world!

i dont know about its use in other cities, but for traveling in Tokyo, this is simply the best app available. and best of all, its free! i purchased a number of other apps, and this one beats them all hands down. it may not be pretty, but it is simple to use and doesnt require an internet connection once you download the data for your city, so it works great even on the iPod Touch.

in London and Los Angeles. Im very glad it has come to iPhone. I bet itll save you around the world!

I have used MetrO for Palm for many years, so I was thrilled to find it on App store. This is definitely the essential app for travelers. If I can see only selected cities in one screen/folder, this will be better. Keep this updated!
