App is bewildering

They need some type of instructions or tutorial on how to use this App. First time I tried it, I spent over 40 minutes trying to figure out how to use it the way the developers intended it to be used. In a new city, wanting to go from point A to point B, Id like to know that I should take the XYZ line to point ABC and then transfer to the DEF line until I get to point FGH, where I transfer...etc. Please provide instructions so that travel challenged people like myself can use the App. The concept of the
App is wonderful. The instructions not so much. Most Apps are intuitive. This one is not.
